Folk Rebellion's Mediterranean OFF-THE-GRID Retreat // fall 2018
Location: Amorgos, Greece
Date: October 10th - October 18th
Join us and 22 other folks in logging off and getting back to basics, nature, and yourself. Over this 7 nights and 8 days adventure you will learn how to manage your technology, not the other way around. On top of it we will get outside, get up to some tom foolery, explore Mediterranean paradise, and make some new friends along the way.
Amorgos Greece is a wonderful island in the southern side of the Cyclades group, famous for its picturesque architecture and the intense spiritual vibes. With traditional Cycladic architecture and secluded beaches, this is a fantastic place for total privacy, often described as a paradise by visitors. This is also an ideal place for hiking and naturism. Digital Detox has been the most buzzed work in 2018 - we’re getting offline and back to Real-Life and real connection.

All folks must arrive to Naxos on October 10th.
Getting there is half the adventure! You will need a roundtrip flight to and from Athens Airport. From there you can Ferry from Piraeus Port (in Athens) to Naxos and take in the beautiful Aegean Sea. Another option is to purchase an additional hopper flight from Athens to Naxos. (Travel Hack: Do not google flights from your departure city to Naxos. They will be crazy expensive. Just book a separate flight which are around $65 one way).
Everyone will have share accommodations for 1 night in Naxos on the 10th. We will take a ferry from Naxos to Amorgos the morning of October 11th. Cost of ferry is not included.
We will take an early ferry to Piraeus Port the morning of October 18th. The cost of the ferry is 29 Euros per person and is not included. Transportation from Piraeus Port to Athens Airport is your responsibility.
If you prefer to fly out of Naxos, you must coordinate and pay for your own transportation from Amorgos to Naxos.
Getting to Piraeus Port From Athens Airport: There are three modes of transportation to choose from: a public bus, a metro line and the standard taxis. Taking an Athens airport taxi is the fastest and most convenient transfer option, but costs 54-70€. A cheaper option is the bus, which costs only 5€, but takes over an hour. The final transfer option is the metro. This mode of transport costs 10€ one-way and takes around 85 minutes to reach Piraeus port.
A non-refundable deposit is included in the total cost of all room options. The deposit for payment plans is included in the first payment. Three equal payments will be made over the three months following the first payment on the same day-of-the-month that the first payment was made.
Payments made in full before May 15th are refundable, excluding the deposit. After May 15th, the spot is transferrable, but no refunds will be given.
Travel insurance is highly recommended.
NOTE: Additional information regarding ferry times and important travel details will be provided via email after signed up.
